Environmentalist

Jenny Fraser Harris (b.1984) is a Scottish artist, designer and environmentalist currently based in a rural town in the Scottish Highlands.

She was formally educated at the Glasgow School of Art, graduating with a degree in Product Design, along with a defining academic exchange to the VŠUP in Prague where she studied painting.

Using plants and food as a tool for authentic, honest communication and connection she has built up an award wining, participatory arts practice that addresses issues of environmental and social justice. Her practice has recently adapted to incorporate mixed media, abstract works on paper since becoming a mother. Current themes of exploration include 7th generation thinking and the intersection of Motherhood with the unfolding environmental emergency.

She also co-hosts the Climate Crisis Culture podcast; a platform exploring the Climate Crisis through the lens of personal stories, arts and culture.

She holds a Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC), a level 2 Horticulture Diploma from the Royal Horticultural Society and is currently grafting 100 apple trees.
